Carl Hebert started photographing 25 years ago and has constantly improved through practice, school and on the job training.
A 2007 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Western Connecticut State University's art program with a specialization in photography. He graduated at the top of his class and made the Dean's List every semester. He credits being a non-traditional student as a huge help in school.
"Being an older student, I believe, allowed me to stay focused on my classes and not become distracted... It also helps that I was paying for it out of my own pocket!" Carl Hebert
After graduation Carl started doing commercial photography. Working with other area professionals like Brad Stanton, Robert Grant, Sasha Gitin and Joseph Kugielsky.
Lately Carl has become interested in what inspired him to do photography in the first place. Nature, wildlife, landscape and travel. Jump starting this renewed interest was a road trip to Alaska from Maine. Carl and his nephew Zach did a cross country road trip from Zach's home in Hebron, ME. to Anchorage Alaska. They traveled in Carl's Pontiac Vibe and camped under the stars in a variety of campgrounds near places like Niagara Falls, The Badlands, Yellowstone, Jaspers, and Denali.
He is currently living/traveling in Eastern Asia with his wife Beth.
